What a fat little tummy! Someone more influenced by today’s image-conscious society might tell that cat to go on a diet, but not me!
Did you know that, like humans, cats can also acquire eating disorders due to psychological stress, including teasing and taunting? (Especially from their owners criticizing the cats for being too fat). It’s not as common in humans, but I just wanted to raise awareness of this, to help reduce the incidence of feline anorexia.
So, paunchy little kitten, just remember: you’re okay just the way you are!
I love Marley, too. I think his bulk is mostly fluff. And don’t forget–the camera adds 10 lbs.!
