Sitting in my friend’s backyard a few weeks ago, this furry little girl prances into the yard, darting around and between our legs. After circling my feet, I placed her on the seat next to me; she crawled into my lap, curled into a ball and fell asleep. My friend assured me that she belonged to a litter of stray kittens, and coaxed me into “rescuing” her. She happily entered the cat carrier on her own that night, and promptly snuggled into the borrowed kitty blanket inside.
Pippa has quickly become the most popular member of our family! If she isn’t cuddled up underneath my chin, curling up in my hair or watching hockey with my husband, she is simply bouncing! And despite her many toys, she prefers tossing around crumpled up Post-it notes.

Cats and children often have much more fun with simple toys and packaging than the toys themselves!
I wish you many happy, healthy years with Ms. Pippa. Perhaps you & your friend can borrow a live trap to get the other strays spayed/neutered and adopted? If they’re anything like little Pippa, they’ll also adopt wonderful humans.

Pippa is a gorgeous kitten! Its always so nice when a kitty adopts you. I’ve had two females adopt me and they were both sweethearts. Hope her momma and siblings are rescued where they too can have a great forever home like Pippa. Many happy years with your new baby!

Pippa is a darling tortie. When I was young, we had a cat who LOVED his hockey games, and tried to catch the little men on TV.
Pippa is such a cutie! Reminds me of my Izzie, featured on DK 2/4/2010 with her brother. She loves my hair too…tries to groom me, cuddles with my husband (who she chose as her very own), and is quite the talker! One of her favorite toys are the plastic rings from milk/water jugs. Many happy years to you and Pippa!
